We understand that our products are often sent to mark special occasions, celebrations, and remembrances, and we want to ensure you have the best possible shopping experience.
If you feel your Wild Poppies flowers or gifts have not arrived in satisfactory condition, please contact us as soon as possible on 09 357 6161 or email service@wildpoppies.co.nz.
Flower Quality Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our flowers. If your flowers arrive in poor condition or do not last at least 3 days from the date of delivery, please notify us within 3 days of delivery by calling 09 357 6161 or emailing service@wildpoppies.co.nz.
Once we are satisfied that the flowers have been properly cared for in accordance with our care instructions, we will happily arrange a replacement or, where appropriate, a refund.
Returns & Cancellation Terms
Orders may be cancelled free of charge if we have not yet commenced preparing or arranging your flowers or gifts.
Where a refund is approved following a customer-requested cancellation, Wild Poppies reserves the right to deduct any non-refundable payment processing fees incurred at the time of purchase. These fees are typically approximately 3% of the order value but may vary depending on the payment method used.
Due to the perishable nature of many of our products, including fresh flowers, plants, cakes, cupcakes, food items and other perishable goods, we do not accept returns once these products have been delivered. We also do not offer refunds on cancelled orders that have already been picked, arranged, prepared or dispatched for delivery.
Non-perishable products may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they are unused, unopened, in their original packaging, and in new condition suitable for resale.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.
Please contact us before returning any item so we can provide return instructions.
Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 1-2 business days, although processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

Care of Your Flowers
From the grower, to our store, to you – our reputation rides on delivering the very best product. For the short time your flowers are with us, we store most flowers in our purpose-built flower chiller, maintained at 2-4°C with a relative humidity of 80-90%.
Flowers don't last forever, but these tips will help keep them looking their best for 4-7 days or longer:
• Clean your vase thoroughly to remove any bacteria or fungi that could affect flower life.
• Use warm water and allow it to settle for a few minutes before placing your flowers in the vase.
• Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle, preferably under running water. This maximises water uptake and helps prevent air bubbles from blocking the stems.
• Keep flowers away from fruit. Fruit produces ethylene gas, which accelerates ageing in flowers.
• Place flowers in a cool position away from direct sunlight.
• Avoid placing flowers near heaters, air-conditioning units, or draughty areas.
• Maintain adequate water levels and replace the water completely every two days.
• If you are leaving home for a day or two, flowers can be placed in the refrigerator (away from fruit) to extend their vase life.
If your flowers arrive in poor condition or do not last at least 3 days, please contact us within 3 days of delivery on 09 357 6161 or email service@wildpoppies.co.nz. Once we are satisfied that the flowers have been properly cared for, we will happily arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.
